By David E. Hwang, Staff WriterThe Lad Bible, a Jewish-themed Bible for toddlers, is getting a new owner.
The new company, Lad Bible Media, announced Tuesday that it has purchased the publishing company, which is also known as the Lad Bible Publishing Group, for an undisclosed amount.
The Lad bible is a Hebrew-language Bible for babies and young children, and was originally published by the Lad family in 1922.
The company published a version of the bible in Hebrew, Arabic and English, and also in Korean, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese.
The company says the new deal with Lad Bible marks its first purchase of an English-language publisher since 2011.
Lad Bible Media will publish the Lad bible in English and will have the option to expand Lad bible to other languages.
The move will also allow Lad Bible to continue publishing Lad bible books in languages other than English, Lad bible, Lad’s children and Lad Bible’s adult line.LAD Bible, which also publishes Lad’s Children, was founded by the family in 1942, but its business was not profitable until 1983.
It was then sold to a family in Japan.
The business has survived many changes, including the merger of Lad Bible and Lad Children in 2012.
Lad Bible is currently run by a separate company, the Lad Publishing Group.
